Dominique and Monique are affectionate siblings who enjoy time together as well as time pursuing their separate interests. The girls are very close and both like music, skating and socializing.

Monique is an energetic 12 year old who likes to keep busy and have fun. Trying new activities is always fun! Monique enjoys skating, dressing up, eating ice cream, and cartoons. She also enjoys board games, movies, and outdoor activities.

Dominique is an engaging and friendly 15 year old who loves to dance, sing, play board games, use the computer, watch television, and spend time with her sisters.  She can be more serious than Monique and likes clothes and shopping. Dominique makes friends easily and has a very playful side. She is looking forward to college and was excited recently to be on the Howard University campus for the first time.

The girls look forward to being adopted by a loving family who likes to try new things and who will help them stay connected to their other siblings.

Cierra is a bright and engaging fourteen year old. She loves shopping, being with friends and having her hair done. But don't be fooled—she is also comfortable on the basketball court! Cierra is playful as well as competitive. She may hold back at first, but she's willing to try new things. And her smile will light up a room!

Cierra likes to read and is a good student at school. She's also a good problem solver. 

Cierra has an older sister with whom she is very close. Her host and adoptive parents need to be open to developing a relationship with Cierra's older sister and committed to keeping them connected. 

Dwayne is a smart and energetic 14 year old in his freshman year in high school. He likes playing football and video games and plays a mean game of basketball. Dwayne loves camping in the summer—especially if it includes canoeing, swimming, a ropes course, or even more challenging physical activities.

Dwayne is a good student with the ability to go far with his education. He is insightful and very articulate (with a very impressive vocabulary).

Dwayne looks forward to being part of an active family who will support him and love him unconditionally.

Deon is an engaging and affectionate 17 year old, with an appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He can enjoy a day filled with fishing or hiking in the woods. He is fond of animals and loves caring for them, especially dogs, cats, and horses. Deon also loves music. He is an excellent dancer and loves to sing. Deon's favorite sports are football, basketball, and bowling. He is quiet in a group but one on one can be very talkative. Deon enjoys working with his hands and building things. He is interested in owning his own home improvement business some day.

Deon is hoping to become part of a family and continues to have faith that his dream of having a family will materialize. He needs an active and nurturing family who will allow him to stay in contact with his siblings.

Terri (age 15) and Tyone (age 10) are a sister and brother who are waiting for an adoptive family. 

Tyone is charming, thoughtful and athletic boy who interacts well with adults and peers. He is always on the go and makes friends everywhere he goes! His favorite sports are basketball and football, but is always interested in learning something new. Tyone is persistent and will keep trying until he gets something right. And as many tries as it takes, he never loses his enthusiasm! He also likes to read and use the computer. 

Tyone's sister Terri is intelligent, athletic, engaging and responsible (especially when it comes to her brother). Terri likes to read, play the keyboard and is an accomplished knitter. (If you don't know how to knit, she'll be glad to teach you. She is a great teacher!) She likes putting things together and is very good at crafts. Terri is interested in what's going on around her and not shy about jumping in and getting involved.

Terri loves being a big sister as much as Tyone loves having one. The two are very bonded and look out for each other. Terri and Tyone live in the same foster home and need to be adopted together. They need an adoptive family who will provide both of them with a nurturing and loving home. Two parents with lots of energy would be ideal to keep up with this pair!

Davon is an energetic and sweet natured 15 year old who likes bowling, playing with action figures, watching cartoons, and playing video games. He has a vivid sense of imagination and is a great actor. Davon loves helping other people and tries hard to please. He likes to be appreciated. He is also very considerate of others. Davon responds to a patient voice and positive reinforcement.

Davon is serious about football. While he has not had the opportunity to play on a team, he would make a great player given that opportunity. He has the coordination and the size. Davon is observant and perceptive. He can be quiet until he gets to know someone, but lights up when he is with the special people in his life. Like any growing teen, he loves to eat and is excited to be learning how to cook.

Davon looks forward to being part of an active family who will introduce him to new adventures. Davon needs a strong, supportive and nurturing family who will allow him to stay in contact with his siblings.
