Adrian & Sandra
 Adrian (age 8) is a happy boy who loves life! He is very good at puzzles and loves to be artistic. Two of Adrian’s favorite pastimes are playing soccer in the park and playing with his remote control car! He is athletic and loves to swim, play basketball and golf. During his summer visit, he graduated from using the floaties to being able to swim on his own! Although he is quiet, he likes to be a leader among his peers and loves his older sister.
Sandra (age 10) is a respectful, loving girl with a warm sense of humor. Her host family said, “Sandra is one of the sweetest little girls we have ever known!” She enjoys swimming, painting, playing with dolls and does very well in school. Although she is sometimes a little shy, Sandra values friendship, enjoys spending time with her friends, and is clear about her desire for her and her brother to find a loving family.
Leidy, Jennifer, Alex and Diego
 This extraordinarily close group of siblings has not only taken care of one another since early childhood, they steadfastly keep in touch with former companions who have already been adopted. Their family solidarity and affection for one another, and their continuing interest in the lives of their friends who have left, are inspiring. Despite the obstacles posed by their status as a four-sibling group of older children, they have always expressed their dream to find a family in America.
Leidy (age 17) is an intelligent, joyful young lady who excels in school and has a goal of attending college. A devoted big sister, Leidy never shows a trace of bitterness despite the challenges of abandonment and life in an institution.
Jennifer (age 15) is an outgoing, tender girl who is devoted to her brothers and the younger children in the orphanage. She is an outstanding dancer, like her brother Alex, and seems to be everybody’s best friend. Jennifer wants to study design when she finishes high school.
Alex (age 14) is polite, calm and noble with a wonderful sense of humor. He has a wide variety of interests, including painting, cooking, sports and dancing. At dancing events, adults stand back and watch Alex’s moves with delight and a touch of envy.
Diego (age 12) is exuberant and playful. He is a skater and devoted “futbolista” who lives for sports. Like his siblings, Diego is also a budding dancer. When Diego first saw the ocean, he ran into the water fully clothed, dancing in circles until he fell down!

Yenne, is a happy and cheerful 11- year old girl. Although she is shy at first, Yenne loves to make friends and spend time with her classmates. Yenne is very creative and loves to tell stories –many created by her own imagination, and share them with her peers. Yene likes to be active and loves to dance. One of Yene’s favorite games is to role play—she loves to play a nurse! Yenne hopes that she will find a family this summer during her summer visit.
Ana, age 12 is a girl who loves school! Her teachers say that she is a dedicated, careful and thoughtful student. Ana’s vocabulary and social skills allow her to express her feelings and ideas. She is initially shy with new people, but when she warms up, she is a kind, giving and loyal friend. One of her favorite pastimes is playing house, especially when her toy cooking set is involved! Ana’s dream of being adopted is inspired by her sister’s adoption. She hopes for a family that will be able to provide love and support to her as well as help her accomplish her goals. Ana dreams of becoming a lawyer!
Angie, age 10 is an expressive and happy girl. She is an outgoing and considerate child who cares very much for others’ feelings. She loves to be included and wants those around her to feel happy and comfortable. Angie feels best when she is doing well in school—this past year she won an award for her academic performance! She enjoys going to church and being a part of the community. Angie has friends that have participated in Summer Miracles, and she is so excited that she will have to opportunity to come to the US this summer and hopes to meet an adoptive family. 
Dilmer is an excellent student who is calm and giving with others. He is very social with good communication skills although he may appear shy at first. He gets along well with others and is a fast learner. He enjoys trips, parties and family type activities. He has a creative side and enjoys arts & crafts, but he also is sports-minded and likes soccer and swimming. Dilmer enjoys reading and playing a variety of games including electronic games and chess. He is an active boy who hopes to find a family who will support him in achieving his dreams.
