Dear Friends,

There are days when trying to find 1 million orphans and foster kids families seems crazy. And then there are those days when it all seems possible. And the reason it all seems possible is because of the amazing support we have had from so many people over the years.

In 1999 we launched our bold program experiment, when Randi quit her day job and began organizing Summer Miracles. We discovered that amazing summer that when people meet older orphans they are willing to help and many are willing to adopt. We also learned the power of volunteers and we experienced our first year in the nonprofit world, hoping to make ends meet. Amazingly as the year ended, we still had a functioning organization, we had paid our bills (well, most of them☺!), and we were able to forge ahead for another year.

Every New Years eve we marvel that another year has passed, our programs and Kidsave have survived. We owe this to you. Thank you for believing in Kidsave and supporting the idea that every child needs a family. Many of you have given hours and hours of your time. Others have given money generously. Some of you have hosted and supported the children we serve through many years, often with challenges.

As we head into the frenzy of the holidays, we are deeply grateful to be able to work to serve children who need families and to make a difference. This isn’t a problem that can be solved overnight. But it is problem that can be solved with commitment from people at every level.

Please accept our heartfelt thanks for all you have done for Kidsave. We want you to know that we appreciate you and what you have done to help. In the words of Margaret Meade, “Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” And we are. Here’s to our continued collaboration — and finding families for 1 million children by 2020.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays,
