Alize

LA Weekend MiraclesAlize is a soft spoken 13-year old African-American boy with a cute dimple smile. He takes his time in getting to know someone, but once he is warmed up to you, he will gladly engage in conversation. This active boy is interested in football, basketball and playing with any musical instrument. He also loves to swim and likes trying out new things. Alize has a sensitive side and he enjoys reading poetry. He is a natural leader and younger kids tend to look up to him. However, it would be in his best interest to have a positive role model in his life as well.

Alize says that math is his favorite subject and he is a bright boy, but he needs a lot of encouragement and motivation to achieve grade level. He also needs that same encouragement to be more involved in the sport activities that he loves! Could you be that someone to help Alize feel safe and secure while encouraging him to do his best?

AnnMarie & Lisa

LA Weekend MiraclesAnnMarie and Lisa are very close sisters. Not only are they close in age, but they enjoy a close relationship too. AnnMarie is a quiet, introspective teen. She is sincere and has quick smile, despite her shyness. Lisa, on the other hand, is more outgoing. She is talkative and enjoys socializing. She is always one to attend all the school dances and formals. As the older sister, AnnMarie is protective of Lisa and takes her job as a role model very seriously.

Both sisters love sports. AnnMarie previously played on the high school basketball team, but unfortunately, a back injury has her sitting out this season. However, that doesn't keep her from the action as she is now the student manager on Lisa's Freshman basketball team!

These girls are looking for a family to encourage and love them together as sisters should be. Could you be that family for them?

Cameron

LA Weekend MiraclesCameron, born in 2000, is a sweet African-American boy with an adorable smile. He loves to study the solar system; but his head isn't always in the clouds. He's a down-to-earth young man who has many different interests. Cameron's favorite academic subjects are science, writing and reading, but he also considers himself an athlete and can be found playing basketball and swimming. Cameron aspires to become a professional basketball player and an F1 racer!

Cameron is a very active boy who does best when he is provided with a structured environment. He would benefit from a loving and nurturing family who will provide him with the opportunity to be involved in different activities and will be active right there along with him!

Candie

LA Weekend MiraclesCandie, born in 1994, is a talkative, sweet Latina girl who loves to sing and has dreams of becoming a professional singer one day. She is extremely friendly, with a warm smile and a love of accessories. She has a well-developed sense of style and makes sure to always look her best. She can light up a room with her inviting demeanor, and will quickly engage in conversation with anyone she meets.

Candie has two siblings who live in Las Vegas; she is close to her brother and hopes to stay in contact with him. Currently, Candie is not sure about the idea of adoption, but she is eager to establish a connection with a family. As a result, our current efforts are focused on matching her with a host family with the hope that she may open up to realizing the benefits of a having a permanent family.

Christian and Moises

LA Weekend MiraclesChristian and Moises are two polite and sweet young brothers who are part of a larger sibling group. Christian and Moises are the youngest and are currently unable to live together and therefore cannot see each other as much as they would like to. When they do spend time together, however, you can see that the physical distance has not dissipated the brotherly bond that they share.

Christian is an avid Star Wars fan and is more quiet and reserved whereby Moises considers himself to be more outdoorsy and active. Moises plays soccer and likes to keep up with the trends at his middle school such as sporting a stylish spiky haircut. While on the surface the boys seem to be as different as night and day, in reality they both share a sweet demeanor and calm nature that comes through within a few minutes of interacting with them. Sure the Medina boys argue like all siblings do but at the end of the day they compromise and make up knowing that family comes first. The boys would love to be able to live together again like they once used to. Could you make their dream a reality?

LA Weekend MiraclesMeet David, born in 1997, is a shy, handsome Latino boy who came to the U.S. from El Salvador in 2010. David is very smart and hard-working; he is ready to do whatever it takes to succeed in life. He is quiet, but once he starts to open up you will find a sweet, intelligent boy who has a beautiful smile. David is fascinated by computers and math, and hopes to someday have a job working with technology.

David has expressed a desire to be adopted, and though he is most comfortable with speaking Spanish, he is open to the idea of being adopted by a family that only speaks English. David is very close to his older brother who lives in LA County and maintaining their relationship is very important to him.

David needs a family that will encourage him in his aspirations and provide a stimulating learning environment. Could you be the source of support he needs?

Eunice

LA Weekend MiraclesEunice, an adorable Latina girl born in 2000, can melt your heart just with her smile. She is very outgoing, sweet, and easy to get along with. She is a wonderful advocate of her wants and feelings and communicates effectively with others. She is also very attentive and affectionate towards pets and those she loves.

Eunice is smart and a great reader. She enjoys any activities involving arts and crafts and loves to dress-up. Eunice is very strong-minded and has a lot of energy, which can sometimes make her a handful, but also makes her lots of fun to be around.

Eunice needs a family who will show her a lot of patience and love, but who can also be just as strong-minded as she is! Could yours be the family that will provide the secure, loving environment that Eunice so desperately needs?

Gabriel

LA Weekend MiraclesGabriel is a smart African-American boy, born in 1997, who has a caring heart and a warm smile that draws you to him. He is intelligent, goal-oriented, and knows what he wants and where he's going in life. He is focused on his academics and has aspirations of becoming an engineer. Gabriel was recently recruited to participate in the Leadership Education and Development Program (LEAP) at school and hopes to one day attend UCLA.

Although Gabriel has not had many opportunities to participate in sports, he enjoys watching soccer, particularly his favorite player, David Beckham, from L.A. Galaxy. Gabriel loves to read science fiction books and watch action movies. He enjoys all types of food and emphasizes that he even likes vegetables, although he admits that he has a bit of a sweet tooth. Gabriel has eclectic tastes when it comes to music, listening to anything from hip hop and rap to country.

Gabriel hopes to one day find a family who will help him grow into a successful young man and support him in his goal to attend college. Could you be that family?

Gene, Jay & Juan

LA Weekend MiraclesGene, Jay & Juan are three Latino brothers who are in need of a permanent family. Gene, born in 1995, is mellow and easy going. He excels in academics and hopes to one day attend NYU and major in the arts. Gene plays the bass guitar, and would like to learn to play the keyboard and the saxophone. He has been very involved in working as a backstage crew member for his high school theater, and loves the social interactions. Jay, born in 1997, is charismatic, funny, and charming.

He's a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego Chargers. Jay would like to learn to play the drums, and how to ride a dirt bike. He wants to be a fireman when he grows up. Juan, born in 2000, is sweet, talkative and playful. He gets along very well with other children and en-joys going to school. He loves to read, and is a big fan of Harry Potter. He likes to play basketball, and would love a chance to meet the LA Lakers.

These three brothers hope to be adopted together, but hosting them separately is a possibility. They need a family that will be active, flexible, and caring. Could the brothers find a perfect fit with your family?

Jose

LA Weekend MiraclesJose is a mellow yet charismatic Latino boy born in 1996. He has a positive outlook and an infectious smile. He loves ice cream, Chinese food, hot cheetos, the Eagles Football team, the Lakers, and the Dodgers. He likes amusement parks and tries everything at least once to know if he likes it or not. Jose has a sister who he enjoys spending time with. His sister is in a permanent placement, and he wishes to continue having contact with her. Jose wishes for an adoptive family who is loveable and outgoing. A family to keep him busy and encourage him to pursue his dreams . . . Could you be that family?

Joshua

LA Weekend MiraclesJoshua, born in 1996, is a very engaging, vibrant young man who socializes well with both adults and his peers. He often speaks his mind and loves the attention that results from a lively conversation. Joshua enjoys singing, dancing and he particularly loves to cook, often volunteering to prepare meals at his group home.

Joshua likes dressing up, enjoys makeup, and has shown skills in designing and sketching jewelry and clothing. Joshua is very determined and he has worked hard to improve his grades and academic performance this school year. As a result of his improved grades and school work, he has been given permission to secure employment and is now completing CPR training to become a Certified Life Guard at the YMCA. It is very important to Joshua to find a permanent home and become a part of a family.

Julie

LA Weekend MiraclesJulie, born in 1995, is a beautiful, talkative African-American girl who dreams of one day being a fashion model or an actress. Julie is very outgoing and friendly; within minutes of meeting her she is likely to envelop you in a hug or give you a glimpse of her gorgeous smile. Julie is adventurous and loves fashion, but also enjoys academics and her favorite subject is biology.

Julia is looking for an adoptive family that can embrace her vibrant personality, give her different perspectives on life and provide her the guidance and support that she needs. She would prefer a family with no younger children as she wants ¾ۤ湬ots of love and attention¾ۤ忮 Julie has an older sister with whom she would very much like to stay in touch with.

Jasmin

LA Weekend MiraclesJasmin,, a cute Latina girl born in 1999, is friendly and very personable. She has a positive attitude and is quite engaging. She loves sports and enjoys playing football and volleyball. However, she also has many other interests, including playing with dollhouses and baking cookies and cakes! It is very sweet to watch Jasmin with her dollhouse as she very carefully takes the time to decorate each room of her dollhouse. Jasmin enjoys going to school and actively participates in class discussions. Her favorite subject is math!

Jasmin can be overly affectionate and sometimes needs to be reminded about appropriate personal boundaries and space. She needs a family who will be able to provide a lot of love and attention. Could you be the family to provide Jasmin with the secure, loving home that she craves?

Lon

LA Weekend MiraclesLon is an adorable and engaging child. Born in 1994, Lon's bright smile, big brown eyes, and sunny disposition will capture your heart. He is residing in a group home, and has no problem getting along with adults and peers. Lon absolutely loves being outside and practicing his skateboarding skills. He's still working on being able to go from kneeling to standing on it, but he's not giving up! Some of his other favorite pastimes include playing with his Gameboy and watching action/adventure movies. Lon considers himself an expert on anything having to do with the Titanic. Ask him any question about it, and he will surely have the answer. He loves reading about all sorts of ships, but the history of the Titanic is his most favorite subject.

Lon also looks forward to any chance he gets to see his sister Selena. He has grown into quite a handsome (tall) young man! The light in his eyes, his bright smile, and warm heart will touch you.

Lon is currently being hosted by a family through Kidsave who is partnering to find him an adoptive family.

Matthew

LA Weekend MiraclesMatthew , born in 1995, is a quiet kid of Mexican and Greek descent. He is proud of his Greek heritage and wants to go to Greece one day to learn more about his roots. Matthew has a strong desire to be adopted and is willing to do whatever it takes to be part of a family. Just like most boys his age, Matthew also enjoys baseball, playing video games and going to the movies.

Matthew describes himself as a "good person", but more specifically he is very engaging (once his initial shyness wears off), thoughtful and sweet. Matthew says that God is important to him and that while his religious views are Christian, he is open to families of other religions. Matthew is also open to moving out of state if that's what it takes to have the right family that is "nice to him". Matthew needs a permanent family to provide guidance and structure as he plays his way through life's riffs and melodies.

Ninka

LA Weekend MiraclesNinka's smile can melt the "Ice in Iceland." Her captivating personality greets you instantly and you'll find yourself engaged at once. Ninka describes herself as being a nice and calm young lady who likes basketball, cooking and cleaning. She has a quiet yet outspoken charm about her and is reflective and treasures fond memories of family and friends. She enjoys spending time with her siblings, just "clowning around" and having a fun time.

Ninka is learning more about herself and what she finds to be interesting. She is self-motivated and says that she wants to "help people" as a career goal. Ninka responds well when she has caring, supportive and encouraging people around her to offer advice and direction, and will take to heart those important "pieces of advice" that come her way. She is focused on accomplishing her future goals of completing school and working with people. Ninka is an average student who likes going to school. Like many young teens, her biggest challenge is balancing the time spent between school and friends. She does not participate in any afterschool sports or club activities but is very open to engaging in weekend activities.

Osvaldo

Osvaldo, born in 1995, is a sweet but shy Latino boy. He is very active and enjoys almost everything that has to do with being outdoors. Some of his favorite pastimes include going fishing, camping in the mountains, and playing soccer. Osvaldo has a kind demeanor and can be very warm and open once you get to know him. He is hesitant about the idea of being adopted, but is open to meeting new families.

Osvaldo would do best with a family that enjoys being active and will engage in activities with him. He also needs a loving, nurturing environment. Could you be the family that will explore the great outdoors with Osvaldo while also providing the love and support he needs?

Phillip

LA Weekend MiraclesPhillip, who prefers to be called Stephen, is a fun goofy Caucasian boy born in 1998. He is talkative and out-going and he finds it easy to get along with both peers and adults. Stephen is articulate about his history and his feelings and is a very likeable boy. His favorite subject in school is science and he wants to be a firefighter when he grows up!

Stephen has expressed that he really wants a family of his own and is open to the idea of being adopted. He has endured a lot of disappointment and grief in his young life, and needs someone who will provide a steady, loving presence. Could you be the family to help Stephen shine?

Rene

LA Weekend MiraclesRene is a playful, friendly and charming 15-year-old teenager who is very active and enjoys doing things outdoors such as fishing and going to the beach. Rene also likes to watch movies, play video games, ride bike and dance. His favorite TV program is World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and his favorite food is fried fish.

Rene has goals and aspirations and while he sometimes struggles in school, he stays focused and reads above grade level. This is a young man who knows what he wants in life -- including his desire to travel to Mexico to explore his heritage one day. Currently though, Rene is looking for a family that shares some of his cultural heritage and that can provide him structure and support in a loving and active environment. LA Weekend MiraclesRichard was born in 1995 and is kind and intelligent, very attuned to other's feelings and has a lot of love to give. Like most children his age, Richard loves video games, watching television and participating in sports. If he can participate in a game with prizes, he would give it all to win. The prizes he collects are not for himself but for other foster children in the group home where he resides. Generosity is one of Richard's exceptional qualities. It was also recently discovered that Richard is quite the entertainer! Given a podium, Richard will entertain those around him by singing and dancing. He has quite the singing voice!

Richard struggles with reading and writing and benefits from the academic support and individual attention that he receives. He is receiving therapeutic services that have been helping him cope with his feelings of abandonment and loss.¾Ʉ濥ϥ¢嫌¬«h the support and nurturing from the right family Richard will flourish to his full potential. More than anything, Richard wants a family to call his own.

Although Urbano enjoys his solitary moments, this teenager has a lot of friends and is always the life of the party.

Those who know Urbano find him to be a well rounded teen who is very secure in who he is. Perhaps this comes from the great attitude he has which seems to radiate from him. ¾ũ‰ۨ minded and easy going, nothing is too corny or too boring for him to try at least once. Urbano may be a kid at heart, but he is also a mature and thoughtful young man. He hopes to be adopted into a family where he can attend family gatherings and learn and grow with them. Urbano would most certainly benefit from an adoptive family who can cultivate his natural talents and abilities.

Varsety

LA Weekend MiraclesVarsety is definitely a kid with a zest for life! He's got a fantastic smile and an easy-going manner that people around him always benefit from. Varsety also has a contemplative side and takes life and all of his experiences quite seriously. This comes through in Varsety's relationships, as he tends to form deep connections with the people in his life.

Born in 1997, Varsety loves a lot of the same things that most young boys love - pizza, football, playing video games and watching cartoons. He thrives with adult attention and is eager to spend time with the role models in his life. Varsety has some special needs as well ~ his right leg had to be amputated when he was a child due to a birth defect, and he now wears a prosthetic leg. Varsety is extremely adaptable and gets around well.

Varsety has both a younger and an older sister, and although they do not live together, their relationship is very important to him. He looks forward to his visits with his sisters every month and hopes to be able to stay in touch with them.

Varsety would greatly benefit from a person who could support him and cheer him on while he explores all of his options in life... maybe you could be the one to help him unlock the door to his future!

Yesenia & Carla

LA Weekend MiraclesYesenia,, born in 1997, and her sister Carla, born in 2000, are two sweet Latina girls in need of a permanent family. Yesenia is a very good student whose favorite subject is math. She has even received academic awards for her accomplishments. Yesenia also loves to sing and spends much of her free time listening to music. She is friendly and well-mannered, and enjoys outdoor activities like basketball. Her sister Carla is a sensitive and friendly girl. She is struggling academically but is working hard to catch up. She likes to play games, watch television, and listen to music. She also enjoys attending church and she likes to talk to people about God. Carla has a passion for helping others and is always seeking ways to help those in need.

Yesenia and Carla would like to be adopted together and to continue to have contact with their maternal grandmother. They need a family that can provide a supportive, nurturing environment. Could yours be the family to take in these beautiful girls?

Zeldon

LA Weekend MiraclesBorn in 1992, Zeldon almost always has hip-hop or gospel music coming from his stereo, and what would this music be without some dance moves Zeldon is rarely too shy to show you his moves on the floor.

Zeldon also has a very strong interest in sports, especially wrestling and football. He follows NFL games closely and can give you Dallas Cowboys stats at any time. He would really like to go to a professional football game, someday! His love for action carries over into his taste in movies as well, with Jet Li's martial arts being at the top of his list!

Taking pictures of nature is a very rewarding and relaxing experience for Zeldon, and he hopes to someday make a career of it. He has also considered expanding his future photography business to taking pictures of weddings, as well. Zeldon is in the Special Education Program at his school and is making steady progress academically. He loves to write, and his favorite subject is English. He is looking for an adoptive family who is open to him maintaining some very important connections. Are you that family?
