Jeric

LA Weekend MiraclesJeric, born in 1995, is a mild mannered and sweet boy who is looking for a family with whom he can form a connection and that can provide him stability and permanence.

When you are making a connection with him, there are many interesting things to get to know about Jeric. He's game for trying new activities and experiences, and really likes to skateboard and play basketball. Jeric also has a fondness for sneakers, always looking for the next best pair to play in. And when he's not hard at play, he takes pride in his appearance and enjoys going to the barber shop to get unique designs in his hair. As for school, Jeric claims that the work is not hard, but he does become easily bored. Jeric needs someone to get him interested in school to make it a stronger suit for him. Jeric has kept some relationships with his relatives, and this shows his ability in maintaining connections in his life. Jeric's got a lot of great qualities -- are you the family that will click with him?

Franklin

LA Weekend MiraclesAlthough Franklin might appear to be shy at first, don't let that fool you. Franklin is a talkative and witty 13 year old. He is extremely athletic and can always be found outside shooting hoops or kicking a soccer ball around. Franklin is focused on getting on the basketball team at school and spends countless hours perfecting his three point shots. Franklin is a Latino young man who is interested in learning more about his culture, including learning to speak Spanish. He knows a few phrases and tries them out whenever possible. Franklin is in the 8th grade and enjoys going to school, especially to be around his friends. He has an expansive vocabulary and is able to express himself in a very mature manner. Franklin is enjoying his increasing independence as a teenager and is especially proud of his very own cell phone. Franklin is eager to be a part of a family that is active and loves the outdoors. Franklin has an older brother and younger sister that are very important to him, maintaining contact with them is his priority in addition to becoming part of a new family. He is already an MVP and just needs a team to play on!

Jacob

LA Weekend MiraclesJacob is a boy of action. Born in 1996, Jacob is outgoing and animated and spends much of his time cruising the neighborhood on his bike, braking for friends or neighbors to share a story or a joke. Perpetually energetic and curious about the world around him, Jacob shows great resiliency in his capacity to ignore barbs or ill-intended criticisms and maintain his positive attitude. What Jacob couldn't ignore was his need for loving caregivers to reciprocate the enormous love in his heart.

Shirley

LA Weekend MiraclesShirley, born in 1994, is the eldest of the siblings. She has both a quick wit and a sense of humor that will grab you by surprise! Shirley likes to take her time in getting to know someone, but when she warms up, you'll find yourself engaged and amused. Shirley's independence and curiosity are two of her great strengths. She likes to explore, try new experiences and question circumstances as they arise. Shirley will stand up for what she feels is "right" and this virtue has gained the respect of her peers, two younger siblings, and adults alike.

Shirley is responsible for her assignments and is self-motivated to complete what's expected of her. She in not involved in any extracurricular activities but has a host of interests that she'd love to explore with a host or adoptive family. After spending some quality time with her, you will learn that her hidden talents range from a zest for music and drama to cosmetology and braiding hair.

Tawanesha

LA Weekend MiraclesTawanesha is a traveler at heart, just waiting for wings to begin an adventure. How about a trip to Belize? Just give our fashion forward friend a few minutes to pack her favorite clothes (sure to include some pink). Equally open to new faces, places, or learning a skill, this enthusiastic 15-years-old explorer has no trouble finding captivating opportunities without leaving the ground.

Tawanesha ranks the school subjects of science and art as the most stimulating and engaging, but also has a passion for writing and a hankering to try her hand at journalism. Blessed with the athletic grace of the natural, if you're speedy you might catch up with this quick runner racing around a track or going long for the pass in a pick-up game of football. In her free time she tunes her radio to rap and hip-hop or might be found sketching or practicing her crotchet. Tawanesha's heart melts for furry friends and one day she would like to combine her affinity with animals and her interest in science as a veterinarian, nursing sick animals back to health.

More than anything Tawanesha would like to embark on the adventure of belonging to a permanent family. She is willing to relocate out of state if needed (always ready for travel), but would like to keep connections with local extended relatives and friends.

Thanks to Kidsave, Tawanesha is on her Way to a Permanent Family!

Last season he played defensive end, and in track some of his best events are the 800 relay and the long jump. Travion keeps up his grades at school. Favorite subjects include history, English, and science. He enjoys being active and outdoors. Travion is hoping to get a summer job, and is beginning to think about college and his future plans. Possible careers he has considered include medicine, therapy, or business. Most of all, Travion looks forward to finding a family that can share the important milestones of his youth, and help him to prepare for college and his future.
