In spring, Josue graduated from Whittier High School and is currently attending a summer program at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering. He hopes to transfer into the aerospace engineering major.

After coming to the U.S. from Russia, Nina has graduated from Johnson State College! She is currently working as a behavioral interventionist with children, and one day hopes to do work to help children without families. Click here for full story.
Carlos has graduated from Benedictine College Prepatory (magna cum laude!), and will attend Virginia Commonwealth University. He is planning on completing the Homeland Security Preparedness Program with a joint major or minor in computer science, eventually using his knowledge with a career in a federal law enforcement agency or US Homeland Security.

Kelly graduated from Vista Ridge High School and plans on attending Lansing Community College in the fall. She hopes to one day go into the nursing field.
This spring, Roxie graduated from high school. She plans to attend Santa Monica college next. “I never thought anybody would be at my graduation,” said Roxie, 18, as she signed into a recent Kidsave event. “But now so many people are coming I’m overwhelmed! Johana graduated from Carmel High School in the spring. She will attend SUNY Cortland to major in inclusive childhood education for children grades 1-6. Her goals are to find a teaching job, settle down, and travel the world!

Daniela graduated from the Cosmetology program at Harford Technical High School on June 3, 2016. She traveled to the U.S. for the first time at age 12 with Kidsave, and was adopted a year later by Chris and Marycarol Skaggs. After 18 short months in her new home, Daniela applied to the very competitive Cosmetology program at Harford Tech, beating out 52 other applicants to be one of the 18 students selected. She completed the Cosmetology program, and is able to apply to the State Board for her license to practice cosmetology.
