Kidsave Miracles Gala is our major fundraiser for the year, with 100% of funds raised going directly to our life-changing programs in the U.S., Colombia, Ukraine, and Sierra Leone. Celebrating our 25th year, Kidsave’s track record and proven Family Visit Model model for connection has directly found families for over 15,000 young people and thousands more through training governments and social workers worldwide.

In her career spanning more than 40 years as a leader within the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, Sari Grant worked tirelessly to find adoptive families for older kids in foster care. She has been instrumental in the development of our Weekend Miracles program, resulting in the formation of countless Kidsave families. For her commitment to finding permanent connections and families for children in Los Angeles, Sari is the recipient of our Champion for Change award.

Scott Simon is one of America’s most admired writers and broadcasters. He is the host of  Weekend Edition Saturday and is one of the hosts of NPR’s morning news podcast Up First. Scott Simon’s book  “Baby, We Were Meant for Each Other,” describes his journey to adoption. We will be honoring him with the Inspirational Voices Award for lovingly highlighting the joys of finding family through adoption.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we pause to celebrate how far we’ve come,
but more importantly, we celebrate the changes still to come and the life-changing work we continue to do.
