HELP OLDER KIDS IN FOSTER CARE EXPERIENCE ALL THE JOYS OF FAMILY THIS NATIONAL ADOPTION MONTH
For some kids, family can be the source of some embarrassing moments in life. But for the thousands of kids in foster care waiting to be adopted, it’s those kinds of embarrassing moments they are longing to share with a family.
HERE ARE SOME FACTS TO KNOW:

Right now, there are over 113,000 kids in foster care waiting to be adopted.

The average age a child is adopted from foster care is 6.

Over half of the kids in foster care waiting to be adopted are age 7 and older.

Of the kids waiting to be adopted, most have spent 3-4 years in foster care.

In 2021, over 19,000 kids aged out of foster care without a family or support system.
