How Winter Miracles works.
For three weeks this winter, children ages 9–14 who are eligible for international adoption travel from Colombia to stay with host families across the United States.
Three weeks of sharing your home, your traditions, and your everyday life.

Share holiday traditions, activities, meals, and simple moments together.

Give a child the opportunity to build meaningful connections.

Partner with Kidsave to help them find a permanent family.
Sometimes, the family a child finds is their host family. Many Kidsave hosts decide to pursue adoption. Other hosts become powerful advocates, introducing their host child to people who may become the permanent family they’ve been waiting for.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Thinking about adoption? Financial help may be available.
Qualified families interested in adoption may be eligible for a scholarship that covers the Winter Miracles program and application costs.

YOU MAY BE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK
A few important things to know.
You can live anywhere in the U.S.
Winter Miracles hosts are welcomed nationwide.
Hosts must be at least 25.
You must be no more than 45 years older than the child you host.
You don’t have to commit to adoption.
Some families host with the intent to adopt; others advocate to help their host child find an adoptive family.
Adoption is possible.
Families pursuing adoption work through Kidsave’s network of Hague-accredited agency partners.
