It takes a village to help kids in foster care find the love and support they need. And the system works better when we all work together.

This National Adoption month, we are highlighting the many facets of the child welfare system and the people who work hard every day to create the best possible outcome for kids in care.

Sometimes, that best possible outcome is adoption. Other times it is reunification, legal guardianship, kinship care, or a long-term connection with a mentor or host.

The most important thing is that the youth have the support they need to thrive.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not the label that makes a family. It’s the love.
