Valerie is a sharp 12-year-old with natural leadership skills. She is a dedicated student who enjoys studying math, Spanish, history, religion, and art. In her free time, Valerie likes to stay active with gymnastics, volleyball, swimming, and riding her bike. When she grows up, Valerie wants to be a police officer so she can help others.

This summer, Valerie is staying with a host family in Ohio and is having a blast! Here is what her host family said:
