Our 2025 Miracles Gala in Los Angeles can best be described in one word: impactful. With hundreds of attendees, dozens of sponsors and benefactors, and one legendary musical guest, this year's gala was a night we won't forget.
The event was emceed by none other than the great Lindsay Price. Lindsay is an actress, singer, and Kidsave’s 2023 Inspirational Voices honoree. Her energetic demeanor captivated everyone in attendance, and her passionate storytelling set the stage for the rest of the night.
This year, the 2025 Inspirational Voices award was presented to Louisette Geiss. Louisette is a producer, businesswoman, and longtime advocate for kids in foster care. Being a foster mom herself, she is no stranger to the challenges and joy it provides and the importance of loving teens in need. Her experience fuels her advocacy for youth in foster care and makes her an authentic and passionate honoree.
We were also proud to honor John and Laura White, longtime hosts of the Summer Miracles program and dedicated Champions for Children. John and Laura hosted our Summer Miracles program for kids not once, not twice, but a total of five times! Together, they have welcomed nine teens into their homes and hearts. Their dedication and continued support have changed countless lives, and they continue to spread love and hope to everyone they meet. Their presence at the Gala was deeply meaningful, and their story will serve as a prime example of how hosting can be life-changing for everyone involved.
Randi Thompson, Kidsave’s CEO and Co-Founder, was met with thunderous applause as she took the stage. As always, her speech touched the souls of the audience and left many tearing up. Humbly, she welcomed all and expressed her deep gratitude for how far Kidsave has come. Randi’s speech reminded us of all our resolve and that together, we are changing lives, one child at a time.
Andres Gilstrap, an alumnus of our Weekend Miracles Los Angeles program, was our featured “kid speaker” of the night. Hearing from teens like Andres is a reminder of the long-lasting impact of Kidsave’s work. “When someone sees you, chooses you, stands by you…you start to believe in yourself again.” said Andres. “You start to imagine new futures. You start to hope.” Guests were moved when four other alumni popped up throughout the venue to quickly share how their lives changed after being in Kidsave programs.
As the night came to an end and the formalities were over with, all focus was set on the dance floor. The energy in the room completely shifted and everyone was waiting with eager delight for what was about to happen. DJ Sasha kept the room lively and feet on the dance floor as everyone waited for our special musical guest. After a bit of dancing, we were honored to have the legendary Snoop Dogg perform live! His performance and presence were a brilliant end to the night and left attendees with giant smiles on their faces. Snoop Dogg also took the time to meet and take photos with VIP guests and all Kidsave kids present, making them feel like rock stars. By the end of the night, everyone from the staff, volunteers, and attendees was left with a new sense of gratitude and hope that we can continue helping older kids in foster care reach their full potential.
