LA MiracleMakers Golf Classic 2025

Complete with perfect weather, great company, delicious food and drinks; this year’s MiracleMakers Golf Tournament was truly one for the books. Golfers brought their A-game to the beautiful Pacific Palms Resort to help raise funds for older kids in foster care.
Before letting loose on the green, attendees enjoyed a delicious spread of breakfast burritos and Bloody Marys, browsed our merch tent for some trendy golf swag, and warmed up with a fun putting contest, all thanks to our generous sponsors. The excitement built as the golf carts rolled up, and after one final pep talk from golf committee co-chair Davorin Kristo, the golfers were off, ready to tee for a great cause!
Volunteers from Banc of California did a fantastic job running on-course games and engaging with our golfers. The games were fun, competitive, and memorable, leaving everyone laughing and energized throughout the day.
As the tournament came to a close, the excitement was far from over. Guests headed into the reception area to enjoy a delicious dinner, refreshing cocktails, and one last chance to take part in our raffle. Prizes included Sports Fan Packs, Wine Tasting Experiences, a GOLFTEC Swing Evaluation, and much, much more.
After a warm introduction from co-chairs, Davorin and Cathy Mchale, Kidsave’s CEO and co-founder, Randi Thompson, took the stage to express gratitude for the golfers’ support in helping Kidsave come so far. For 22 years, the MiracleMakers Golf Classic has raised thousands of dollars to support older kids in foster care. This incredible achievement is not the result of one team alone, but the shared vision and dedication of countless groups, supporters, and individuals who believe in Kidsave’s mission.
Randi then introduced the audience to Yhoser, a teen who found his forever family through Kidsave's Summer Miracles program. As Yhoser took the stage, he immediately captured everyone’s attention with his charisma and whimsical nature. Hearing Yhoser’s story and how Kidsave changed the trajectory of his life left more than a few spectators a bit teary-eyed. Donating to a worthy cause is one thing, but witnessing its lasting impact firsthand is a deeply moving experience.
Finally, it was time to tee off our live auction! With big swings came even bigger auction items: delicately aged wines, a ride on the iconic Goodyear Blimp, fun getaways for the whole family, and more. The competition was fierce as bids climbed higher with each item presented. By the time the final gavel fell, the auction had raised an incredible $13,000, helping us surpass $25,000 total for the day!
“Moments like this are a powerful reminder of why our gratitude for our supporters and sponsors runs so deep,” said Genesis Diaz, Kidsave’s Development and Special Events manager. “Because of them, kids like Yhoser have the chance to find a loving family and the dedicated support system they so desperately need. Every child deserves that chance.”
Every swing, every sponsorship, and every little moment brings us closer to our goal of helping older kids in foster care find their forever families or caring mentors.
