Kidsave is pleased to announce the appointment of OurBorsch Co-Founder Sandy Latushkina to its Associate Board

Kidsave, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advocates for change in child welfare systems to help older kids in foster care find families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandy Latushkina to its Associate Board.

Latushkina is originally from Moscow, Russia, and immigrated to San Francisco with her family as a child. When the war began, Latushkina worried for her relatives in Odesa and Kharkiv. Feeling powerless but determined to help, she decided to take action. She reached out to Helen Nesteruk, her friend and founder of OurBorsch, and took a front-seat role in getting its efforts off the ground.

Latushkina led the design of OurBorsch’s website, and now with its move to Kidsave, will continue to contribute to web content and social media. Along with her volunteer efforts, Latushkina works on the Product Analytics team at Salesforce.

“I am proud to devote my time to helping people who need us, in Ukraine and elsewhere,” said Latushkina.  “Strengthening our volunteer base in Ukraine and serving vulnerable children here and around the world is a cause worth fighting for.”

Randi Thompson, Kidsave CEO and Co-Founder, said, “Sandy is already an asset to Kidsave’s associate board. We put her tech skills and her passion for our mission to work immediately. Sandy’s jumped right in, consulting with our marketing team to find strategies to expand Kidsave’s reach online and beyond.”

Latushkina is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. She has also spent over a decade working in analytics for major tech companies, including Google and Bloomberg, and has worked as a Director of Marketing Analytics at Ancestry.

With her appointment, Sandy Latushkina joins 13 other professionals on Kidsave’s Associate Board. Along with Kidsave’s Board of Trustees, this group supports Kidsave’s efforts and advocates for the need for families for older kids in foster care and orphanages domestically and worldwide.
