On International Children's Day, Kidsave's team in Ukraine organized a celebration for over 270 children affected by the war. In addition to providing aid, they created safe spaces for play and joy, reminding us of the importance of love and hope in a child's life. The events included zoo visits, games, popcorn, and gifts, bringing smiles and happiness to the kids. Kidsave remains dedicated to helping children find family and thrive despite the challenges in Ukraine.
At the Weekend Miracles event on May 21st, 25 kids and 24 adults had a wonderful time at the beautiful Loma Alta Park in Los Angeles. Before the day’s activities began, everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious lunch together, which was a great opportunity for the kids and adults to make conversations and get to know each other. After lunch, the kids were divided into several groups to take turns playing different games.
For our April “Meet the Kids” event, we met at Servicon in Culver City for an Earth Day celebration. The day's goal was to teach kids more about our planet, have fun, and build connections between older kids in foster care and potential hosts and adoptive families.
